Choose a Silver Brazing Flux Manufacturer Offering Reliable Flux Solutions

Choosing the right flux is an important part of a reliable brazing process. The flux needs to match the base metal, filler alloy, heating method, and working temperature. At JO FLUX®, we develop and manufacture brazing and soldering fluxes for different metal-joining applications. Our range includes silver brazing fluxes as well as solutions for soft soldering, aluminum, and other applications.

Fluxes for Different Brazing Requirements

Brazing jobs can involve different metals and filler alloys, so one flux cannot suit every application. Our Lomelt® and Oxiflux® ranges are made for specific requirements.

Lomelt® silver brazing fluxes include low-, medium-, and high-temperature options. Depending on the product, they can be used with different base metals and filler alloys.

The range includes:

  • Lomelt®

  • Lomelt 50

  • Lomelt 55

  • Lomelt 58

  • Lomelt 59

  • Lomelt B

  • Lomelt 60

Our Oxiflux® range is designed for applications involving tungsten carbide and other hard materials. Products in this range include Oxiflux Powder, Oxiflux 600, Oxiflux 630, and Oxiflux 650.

How Flux Supports the Brazing Process

During brazing, surface oxides can affect the joining process. Our fluxes help protect the base and filler metals from oxidation, remove surface oxides, reduce surface tension, and support the flow of filler metal.

The correct product depends on the process. As a Soft Soldering Flux Manufacturer, we also offer products for soft soldering applications where different metals and temperature ranges need to be considered.

For this reason, flux selection should be based on the actual job rather than choosing a product only by its name.

Selecting the Right Flux

The flux and filler alloy need to work within suitable temperature ranges. Our selection approach considers the key details of the application.

Factor

Why it matters

Base metal

Different metals need different flux solutions

Filler alloy

Its melting and working range should match the flux

Heating method

Flame, induction, or other methods can affect selection

Working temperature

The flux needs to work within the required temperature range

Joint design

Joint conditions can affect the brazing process

Flux removal

The required cleaning method should be considered

Looking at these points before selecting a flux can help avoid using a product that doesn't fit the process.

Soft Soldering Flux Options

Our soft soldering range includes products for copper, brass, stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and aluminum alloys.

Soldaflux is a liquid flux for copper and brass radiators and heat exchangers. It has an activity range of 165–350°C and is designed for tin-lead and tin-silver soldering alloys.

Soldaflux Stainless Steel is a semi-fluid paste flux or gel for stainless steel, carbon steels, and copper-based alloys. It can be used with flame and induction heating and also has an activity range of 165–350°C.

Flxal-S Gel/Liquid is a low-temperature flux for aluminum and aluminum alloys. Its activity range is 160–325°C, and it can be used for aluminum-to-copper, aluminum-to-brass, and aluminum-to-plated-terminal applications.

Support for Industrial Applications

Our flux solutions are used across industries such as refrigeration and air conditioning, tool making, automotive, plant construction, and plumbing. We also provide guidance on flux selection, brazing and soldering consumables, machines, furnaces, and workpiece design.

JO FLUX® began in 1993 as a distributor of non-ferrous brazing alloys in India and later developed manufacturing, laboratory, and R&D capabilities in the Pune region. In 2019, we started manufacturing a new generation of brazing fluxes free of boric acid and borax.

Choose Flux Based on the Application

A suitable flux starts with understanding the metal, filler alloy, temperature, and heating process. Our product ranges are designed to cover different brazing and soldering needs rather than using one solution for every job. As a Soft Soldering Flux Manufacturer, we continue to provide flux options for a wide range of metal-joining applications.

If you need help selecting a flux for your process, contact JO FLUX® to discuss your application and find a suitable product from our range.
