Content Guidelines – Write High-Quality Posts on BlogOSM

BlogOSM Content

Guidelines

To maintain a high-quality, safe, and SEO-friendly environment for all our users and content partners, BlogOSM follows strict publishing rules. Please read carefully before posting.

Content Quality Notes for Authors

  •  Avoid Duplicate Content:
Posts with repeated or copy-pasted content may be automatically deleted as per our policy. Please ensure your content is original and not already published elsewhere.
  •  Limit Outbound Links:
Including more than 4 external links in a single post is considered spammy. Such posts may be flagged or removed without notice.

✅ Allowed Content

  • Original blog posts, reviews, opinions, guides, case studies
  • Educational, informative, or how-to articles
  • Personal stories (non-offensive)
  • Business, startup, marketing, finance, health, tech, travel, etc.
  • Product or service promotions with proper disclosure

❌ Banned & Spammy

Content (Auto-Flagged)

Posting the below content may result in removal, noindexing, or account restriction:

Do NOT use the following words/topics:

  • Duplicate or copy-paste content from other websites
  • AI-generated or spun content without editing
  • Posts with less than 300 words (considered thin)
  • Posts with more than 3 external links (except references)
  • Unnatural anchor text and backlink stuffing
  • Content violating Google's Webmaster Guidelines
  • Content violating BlogOSM

 Minimum Quality Requirements

  • ✅ At least 300 words (not including code or links)
  • ✅ No more than 3 outbound links per post
  • ✅ No repeated domains in links (avoid spam chains)
  • ✅ Title and Meta Description must be relevant
  • ✅ Images must be copyright-free or owned
  • Slug Tip: Leave the slug blank — it will automatically suggest the best one according to the title. If you enter it manually, make sure it's a proper SEO-friendly slug based on Google’s best practices.

⚠️ Auto-Moderation &

Flagging

All posts are automatically checked for quality. If your post is flagged as low quality, it will be automatically marked noindex to avoid SEO issues.

Reasons for flagging include:

  • Low word count
  • Spammy keywords or repeated anchor text
  • Too many external links
  • Poor formatting or AI-only content

 Writing Tips

  • Write naturally for humans, not just for search engines
  • Use proper paragraphing, H2s, and bullet points
  • Avoid stuffing keywords unnaturally
  • Include real value — not just promotional content
  • Proofread your post before publishing
