MBBS in Bangladesh: A Quick Review

·        Course Duration: 5 Years Academic Study + 1 Year Internship

Eligibility Criteria

·       To study MBBS in Bangladesh, a candidate must be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the admission year.

·       General category students must achieve a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with subjects in physics, chemistry, and biology to study MBBS abroad. For Reserved Category students, a minimum 40% mark is required to pursue the MBBS course in Bangladesh.

·       Indian students must qualify in the NEET examination to pursue MBBS in the country. MBBS in Bangladesh is less competitive. Students who have scored lower marks in the NEET exam can easily take admission to a top medical university in the country, which is comparatively difficult in India.

·       The combined GPA of Class 10 and Class 12 should meet the requirements prescribed by the Bangladesh medical education authorities.

·       A minimum GPA of 3.5 in both SSC (10th) and HSC (12th) examinations is generally required.

·       Students should not have more than one year of gap after completing Class 12.

·       Applicants must possess a valid passport and fulfil all admission and visa requirements.

·       The time for primary intake in Bangladesh happens once in a year.

·       The process of admission generally begins in September-November.
