An Unmarried Certificate in Pakistan (also known as a Single Status Certificate) is an official document issued by the Union Council confirming that a person has never been married. It is often required for marriage abroad, visa applications, overseas jobs, or legal matters. To get the certificate, applicants must submit documents such as CNIC, parents’ CNICs, an affidavit, and sometimes witness statements. After verification, the Union Council issues the certificate, which can then be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for international use. This certificate ensures legal proof of single status for both personal and official needs.
