Do KLM Allow Name Changes?

KLM airline is the most preferred choice because it offers passengers the option to modify their name. However, specific criteria must be fulfilled to make name changes. • You have 30 hours before departure to change your name, according to the airline name change policy.

• It is not possible to change the passenger's full name.  That is, you cannot give someone else ownership of the tickets you have purchased. 

• According to the airline's name change policy, passengers who wish to change their name after the risk-free period will have to pay a portion of their ticket fare as name change fees. 

• It is not possible to change a passenger's name on the same day.

• The rewards tickets do not offer the KLM name change feature. 

• If the changes are made at least 30 hours before the departure time, you are exempt from paying KLM name change fees.

How To Change Name On KLM Flight Ticket?

You can alter your name through a variety of methods. However, the modifications must be done within the timeframe specified. The various methods provided by KLM for name corrections are : 

Name change through customer service number 

• Set up a language as your preferred language for interactions after calling the customer service number listed on the official website.

• From the list of options, choose the name change option.

• Speak with the authorities.

• Your name will be corrected by the representative. They do, however, confirm that you qualify for the name change.

• Remember to double-check the name. Request that the executive spell the entered name.

• You must pay the name change fee, if any, after you have verified the entered name.

• Lastly, the new e-ticket will be sent to your email address as soon as the name is changed.   

Correct name through the official website 

To implement changes via the official website, you need to navigate to the site. Enter your login information to access your account now. Browse to the Manage Booking tab after arriving at the homepage. Choose the trip you wish to change now. Click the ‘Modify’ tab now. Choose the passenger's name now. At this point, make all the necessary adjustments and include the pertinent documents as evidence. Now, if there is a name change fee, you might have to pay it.  You will receive the updated ticket after the changes are completed.  

Can I change a KLM flight ticket to a different name?

Typically, it's not possible to transfer a KLM flight ticket to another person's name. However, you can contact KLM to have a minor spelling error fixed, but the original passenger's name must still appear on the ticket. Therefore, before making any changes, do read the airlines name change policy.
