As part of this ongoing journey with Salt & Seek
—where we explore Utah's under-the-radar gems, craft cocktail bars, and food-forward experiences—I decided to take the short drive to Herriman. The mission? To see if the buzz around this local bar lived up to the hype. Spoiler alert: it absolutely did.
Now, on to the food, because that's really where the Three-Story Bar shines. The menu skilfully balances comfort food classics with a modern twist that feels fresh and elevated without being at all pretentious. I started with their signature appetiser: crispy fried cauliflower tossed in a sweet and spicy glaze. It was one of those dishes you don’t expect to fall in love with but find yourself talking about days afterwards.
For the entrée, I ordered their bourbon-glazed burger and can say quite honestly that it is one of the best burgers I have ever had in Utah County. Juicy, full of flavour, and cooked just right – a real treat with one of their many local craft beers or handcrafted cocktails. The drink list is as thoughtful as the food menu, from creative house cocktails to Utah-distilled spirits and rotating taps from nearby breweries.
One of the most unique things about the Three-Story Bar in Herriman is how each level offers a different atmosphere. The first floor is right at the heart of the action, a lively space perfect for dining and catching up over conversation. The second storey presents a more relaxed lounge area with dimmed lighting, plush seating, and a great view of the bar below.
And the rooftop? That's where the magic happens: with views of the surrounding mountains in every direction and a laid-back, social vibe, it's the type of place that will make you forget you're still in Herriman. On a clear evening, the sunset alone is worth the visit.
It's not just a bar; it's an experience, layered for every mood.
What struck me most about the Three-Story Bar isn't just its menu or ambiance; it's the sense of community it cultivates. It's a spot where locals go after work, friends celebrate milestones, and strangers find it easy to be part of the conversation. It's that perfect mix of energy and authenticity, so hard to find in larger nightlife districts.
Herriman has been growing steadily, and with places like this, it is very easy to see why. The Three-Story Bar doesn't just fill a gap; it defines what community-centred nightlife looks like outside of Salt Lake City.
