Start by listening. Literally. Walk around your facility during peak operations and observe where communication occurs. Notice where it's difficult. Notice where staff gather to take important calls.

Those are your problem areas. Fix those first.

You don't need a comprehensive acoustic overhaul. Targeted improvements in high-impact spaces get you 80 percent of the benefit.

Work with your infection control team early. Make sure any solutions you implement meet their standards. This isn't an afterthought.

Measure something. Consultation completion rates. Staff satisfaction. Patient feedback. Pick a metric and track it before and after implementation. You need evidence that changes actually matter.
