How the OSRS Combat Formula Works
The game uses different formulas depending on your highest combat style:
Melee Combat Formula
If your (Attack + Strength) is higher than 1.5× your Magic or Ranged:
Combat = (Attack + Strength) × 0.325 + (Defence + Hitpoints) × 0.25 + (Prayer ÷ 2) × 0.125
Ranged Combat Formula
If your Ranged × 1.5 is higher than (Attack + Strength) and Magic × 1.5:
Combat = (Ranged × 1.5) × 0.325 + (Defence + Hitpoints) × 0.25 + (Prayer ÷ 2) × 0.125
Magic Combat Formula
If your Magic × 1.5 is higher than (Attack + Strength) and Ranged × 1.5:
Combat = (Magic × 1.5) × 0.325 + (Defence + Hitpoints) × 0.25 + (Prayer ÷ 2) × 0.125
